Meet Joey Fattz

Joey Fattz is one of Pittsburgh's most decorated Underground Hip Hop Artist. Completing an unprecedented 7 Mixtapes, Joey Fattz is poised to release his first full length album, Bazooka Joe 1.5. This is the second installment in his Bazooka Joe trilogy. Joey Fattz has been a cornerstone in Pittsburgh Hip Hop, working with some of the cities hottest producers and being at the forefront of the growth of Pittsburgh's Hip Hop Music scene. Fattz began recording at ID Labs with E. Dan and Big Jerm as Hip Hop Heavyweights, Mac Miller and Wiz Khalifa launched into mainstream stardom. Using their success as motivation, he continued to cultivate is style and build his brand. Crazystraight became a self-described phrase for his mindset and movement. His childhood friend, Taylor Gang Producer, Ricky P and him employed the service of Joanna IIC Music Management and began working at Premier Pittsburgh Recording Studio. As the two embarked on a journey to fulfill their dreams, Fattz never lost sight of his roots and his loyalty. Joey's passion and non-stop work ethic kept him writing and recording, which led to his epic Mixtape, Bazooka Joe. With the success of the project, Joey was able to catch the eye of the underground and bring to light his advanced skill set and deep rooted love for hip hop craftsmanship. This led to his management meeting up with Pittsburgh's Legendary DJ Nick Nice. Nick, along with his management firm Grind Mode Management quickly  realized that Joey was much more than a rapper, but presented the talent and dedication to be a full fledged recording artist. Nick opened up his resources and assigned his direct manager to provide unrestricted resources and assistance to his team. Joey received an opportunity to work with Static Selecktah. This led to the creation of his first single from 1.5, "Love Is For Fools", and an interview on Shade 45 in New York City. Joey simotaneously began headlining his own mini tour entitled "Who Is Joey Fattz". This afforded Joey to invade the Midwest and did shows in Canton and Salem. The tour was cut short due to the opportunity to work with Taylor Gang's Tuki Carter, which he traveled to Atlanta. Once he returned, he received another opportunity to work with the Legendary Domingo Beats. Again, Joey's passion and dedication to the art opened Domingo's eyes to his talents. This afforded Joey the opportunity to record with Hip Hop Rap God, Kool G Rap. As well as receiving features with the late great Big Pun's son Chris Rivers and Hip Hop Legend, AZ. Domingo requested to work on an exclusive project with Joey, which was written, produced and recorded in an unprecedented 5 days. As he worked on completing the 1.5 project, Joey was able to secure a feature with yet another Taylor Gang Artist, Chevy Woods. In 2014, Joey Fattz won a Pittsburgh Underground Music Award for Best Mixtape for Bazooka Joe and his group won another award for Best Live Performance. Joey has been featured in over 20 videos as well as Vlogs. He recently added another key component to his team, the services of GoodGirlPR. Nickie Robinson and her team is dedicated to expanding Joey's exposure. Within the first 5 days of the release of "Love Is For Fools", Joey was able to be featured in Blogs on Thisis50.com, Allhiphop.com, TheHypeMagazine.com and Neufutur.com. He performed at the Shrine School in Chicago and had an interview with Vevo and UndergroundJoyride (available now on www.undergroundjoyride.com). He will be performing in Pittsburgh at the Rex Theater January 16th at his official Release Party for Bazooka Joe 1.5.
